Substance Architecture was honored to share our story at the AIA South Dakota conference through a two-part presentation entitled "An Evolving Practice: Substance Architecture". Associate Principals Joshua Hemberger, AIA, LEED AP, and Leah Rudolphi, AIA, reflected on the firm’s evolution over the past 20 years, including lessons learned from our recent ownership transition and the opportunities it has created for the next generation of leadership.
The second half of the session highlighted our collaborative design approach, rooted in the Midwest and guided by a commitment to listening. Through this process, we strive to create thoughtful, vision-driven solutions that support design excellence and reflect the values of the communities we serve.
