The James M. Hoak Family Golf Complex, located on the Finkbine Golf Course, providing a home for the University of Iowa’s men’s and women’s golf teams, and the ability to practice and train year-round. It is located at the west end of the existing outdoor driving range at Finkbine and includes a trophy room dedicated to the history of Iowa golf.
The facility contains a 5,000 square foot performance studio for practicing chipping and putting on a special turf which is designed to replicate a normal putting green and fringe area. Two heated hitting bays with five hitting stations allow golfers to hit during the winter months into the outdoor driving range. Additionally, the facility includes locker rooms, staff offices, a team lounge, and a club repair/storage area. Video tracking is provided to film and analyze a golfer’s swing mechanics. An outdoor putting green, wedge range, and bent grass practice area complete the facility and place it among the best in collegiate golf.
